Our Stock We purchase stock plants from reputable nurseries so we are sure of the genus and cultivar and plant these in our own landscape. At the proper time, mostly early spring, we take softwood cuttings from these and place them in a controlled environment mist house for rooting. We can have up to 2000 cuttings under mist at one time. After rooting (the time depends on the kind of plant), the plants are either potted up or placed in a raised bed for more development.
We also do some Acer, (Japanese Red Maple), some Willows and some Sophora. We are always looking for other landscape plants that are adaptable to our growing zone. We are licensed to propagate Dr. Carl Whitcomb's patented crapemyrtle cultivars as seen on the lacebark site. We do only landscape type plants, no annuals and no vegetables. All of our stock is adaptable to USDA growing zones 6-9.
