Pampas grass cortaderia selloana Pink

Review Notes: Grow on from division performed in spring, setting clumps in light rich soil, sheltered location, good light, or sow from seed in spring, 60-75F

Cortaderia are robust evergreen grasses forming large, compact tufts of narrowly linear, rough-edged leaves, with erect stems bearing dense silvery or pink-tinged flower panicles which are excellent for drying.

A perennial, evergreen grass forming compact clumps of sharp-edged, narrow arching leaves, to 1m in length. Silky plumes of flowers on stems to 1.5m.

Pruning Cut back old, flowered stems and dead foliage at the bases in late winter.
Pests Generally pest free.
Diseases Generally disease free.

Soil Acid, Alkaline or Neutral. Moist but well-drained or well-drained. Chalk, Clay, Loam or Sand.
Aspect All aspects. Exposed or Sheltered.

Flowers: in Summer.
Foliage: Green and Yellow.
Evergreen/Deciduous: Evergreen.

Suggested Plant Uses: Architectural, Cottage/Informal Garden, Flower Arranging, Flowers Borders and Beds, Low Maintenance or Prairie Planting.
