John explained that he has been off the radar in communications for quite a while - for a very good reason - he's been very busy in the garden, as you can see from this photo.

These photos from August 2007 show a view from above. John was really delighted with how well the beds filled in, in just the one year - and can hardly wait to see how it's going to be this year.
The attractive variegated shrub on the left is a Willow that was inherited with the garden. John thinks it may be Salix cinerea 'Tricolor'. It's pollarded each year - so in late February it looks like a 6' pole with large lump on the top. That photo was taken late August so it grows pretty vigorously!
